About Anıl Uzun

Anıl Uzun is an entrepreneur and investor based in London. Right now, he is the founder of Gobaba Ventures. He is visionary has an evangelical enthusiasm to support ventures. Anıl Uzun and his companies invest in emerging technologies in trading, payments, and many other internet-based services. His door is always open to people who have integrity, openness, and a collaborative mindset.

Anıl Uzun was born in Bursa in 1986; then, he moved to London to study. He started his education at the University of East London on Business Information Systems in 2008; he graduated in 2011. Then he took an executive course on The Bank Financial management in the City University London in 2013. Later that year, he went to Stanford to participate in the innovation and Entrepreneurship program. He completed the program in 2014 and then came back to London to study Financial Service and Market Regulation in 2015. He ended the program at The London School of Economics and Political Science in 2015. Later in 2019, he studied Mergers and Acquisitions in the London Business School.

His executive career started in 2012. He founded PaymentPark that has services in Europe, The Middle East, and Africa. PaymentPark was a prepaid card website operating globally to connect merchants and users. 

In 2013 he founded Best Pay, the company that operated around four years. Best Pay worked in Europe, and it was a global voucher distribution platform that was reselling vouchers for issuers and sub-resellers. It was a market-proven end-to-end platform that supported reselling around the world.

In the same period, Anıl Uzun moved to a new adventure in 2012. He founded a new company that is called Clearsettle and operated for five years. Clearsettle was performing in London and offered PSP, FX, Cards, Wallet, Voucher, Pay to Card, Payment Aggregator services. It was a Payments API Fintech Company. It provided Fintech, FX, Acquiring, and Issuing solutions to businesses to do local commerce in the world. The company was to gather together all the accoınts in one place to pay and get paid globally. The company was based in the UK, but it has offices in Malta, Germany, Cyprus, and the USA. 

In 2013 he also founded EFT Software, a company for technology and business design for fintech products. The company had more than 200 employees that operated in marketing, design, product development, and software engineering. Anıl Uzun sold the company to an investor in 2017. 

Another venture by Anıl Uzun was called  Instrawise that offered SaaS PSD2 Services; he sold the company to an investor in 2107.

2015 was a very productive year for Anıl Uzun; he also founded Facekart, the electronic money product, and sold the company in two years. The company was authorized by the Financial Conduct Authority under the Electronic Money Regulations 2011 (FRN 900483) to issue electronic money.

In 2016 he founded SettleGo, a European Bank Account, for FX and Global Payment Services and sold the company in a couple of months. 

Right now, Anıl Uzun is the head of Gobaba Ventures that he founded in 2017. The company invests in ventures in trading, payments, and other internet-based services.
